Why Do I Want to Include LSU Eunice in My Will?

Reasons for making a bequest to LSU Eunice can vary for each individual. A deep satisfaction in knowing that you played a vital role in shaping the future of the students, faculty and staff, and the excellent programs that Louisiana State University Eunice has to offer. Memorializing a loved one by establishing a named endowment in honor of them. Knowing that with my bequest, I have assisted in helping LSU Eunice build its endowment thereby directly affecting institutional advancement.

How Do I Make a Bequest?

There are several ways to make a bequest to LSU Eunice.

  • You may choose to bequeath a specific amount of cash from your estate.
  • You may bequeath certain property from your estate, for example, a home, farm land or other real estate, artwork, or other tangible personal property.
  • You can give a fixed percentage of your estate, for example 2%, 5%, 10%, etc. Some donors like this type of bequest because it enables them to give what they feel is an adequate portion of their estate and yet keep an appropriate balance with bequests to heirs and other loved ones.
  • Finally, you can choose to give the rest or residue (what's remaining) of your estate after all other bequests have been satisfied.

The LSU Eunice Foundation office can provide sample Language Forms for including a bequest to LSU Eunice and suggested language clause for your will. As with any planned gift, we strongly suggest that you consult with your attorney or other professional advisor who can assist in your estate planning.

Once you have made a bequest to LSU Eunice, you are eligible to become a member of the Legacy Society.

Membership Is Easy

Documentation of your gift - After consulting with your professional advisors, make your estate gift to the LSU Eunice Foundation through a bequest, charitable trust, life insurance policy, retirement plan beneficiary designation, or charitable gift annuity.

Contact LSU Eunice - Send the LSU Eunice Foundation a copy of your gift documentation. This may be the relevant page of your will or beneficiary page of your insurance policy, etc.

Membership Form - Simply complete the Legacy Society Form, and return it to the LSU Eunice Foundation.
