What are Bengal Ambassadors?
This is the fourth year of the Bengal Ambassador program, so if selected, you will have the opportunity to continue to help Student Affairs blaze an exciting, innovative new trail. The Bengal Ambassador program is the premier student leadership opportunity at LSUE. Bengal Ambassadors represent the best that LSUE has to offer as these students are the face of the campus at new student orientation, recruitment events, and throughout the year. If you are selected, you will also be recognized as a member or provisional member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
What do Bengal Ambassadors do?
Bengal Ambassadors serve new students at each orientation session as they lead groups, facilitate small group activities, and serve as a peer mentor for new students during the academic year. Select Bengal Ambassadors may volunteer to go on recruiting events to tell prospective students about LSUE.
Why should I be a Bengal Ambassador?
Bengal Ambassadors receive a scholarship ranging from $200-$700 depending on available funds and performance. Additionally, being a Bengal Ambassador is an honor and a privilege that can provide you with a holistic student leadership experience. You will develop relationships with the LSUE community that will last a lifetime, and these relationships will help you secure employment during and/or after your time at LSUE. Bengal Ambassadors are permitted to register for classes early and have the opportunity to travel across the country to conferences to meet other student leaders at other universities. Additionally, Bengal Ambassadors are recognized as members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society for academically elite students.
