Checklist for Returning Nursing Applications
Incomplete Applications will NOT be accepted so be certain to complete your application.
- Completed application with all blanks filled out/signed.
- Currently have an active application on file with LSUE, with major of Nursing/Pre-Nursing.
- Copies of previous transcripts (unofficial is fine – even if you took every course with LSUE).
- CBC forms completed and signed (both sides).
- Proof of paying for entrance exam (attach copy).
- Proof of scheduling entrance exam with the Testing Center (attach copy).
- Two fingerprint cards – these may be obtained from the Sheriff, Police, etc. MAKE SURE THE FINGER PRINTS ARE CLEAR AND NOT SMUDGED.
Available Applications
LPN to ASN Program (Eunice Campus)
Applications for the LPN to ASN nursing program are now available. Completed application packets must be submitted by the due date specified in the packet, which will be in September or October. The selection process will take place in October. Accepted students will enroll in two transition courses starting in January and, upon successful completion of these courses, will join the third-semester students in August.
LPN to ASN Program (Lafayette Campus)
Application packets for the LPN to ASN nursing program will be available in December or January. Completed packets must be submitted to the nursing office by the due date specified in the packet, which is in March. Selection of candidates will occur in May. Those who are accepted will begin two transition courses in August, and upon successful completion, will join the third-semester students the following January. Please note that the first semester will take place at the Eunice campus, while subsequent semesters are currently held at the Lafayette site, though this location may be subject to change.
Applications for the Eunice Campus ASN Program (Traditional)
Application packets for the Traditional Day option are now available and will also be available again in mid-January after the current cycle closes. Completed packets must be submitted by the due date indicated in the packet. Selection of candidates will take place in May for an August start and in October for a January start. Please note that, currently, students starting in August will attend the Eunice campus, while those starting in January will be at the Lafayette site. However, these locations are subject to change.
Applications for the Evening/Weekend Option (Traditional)
Applications for the Evening/Weekend option cohort are now available for those applying to start in January 2025. All prerequisites must be completed successfully by the end of August 2024. Following the January 2025 cohort, the next cohort will start in August 2026, with all prerequisites required to be completed by May 2026. Please note that, while this program is currently offered at the Lafayette site, the location may be subject to change.
