Database Programmer/Analyst:

This position requires an in-depth understanding of computerized information systems and a thorough knowledge of database software packages and report generation systems.  Responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting the data required for institutional reporting functions and completes most external and internal reports required of the university by various sources ranging from the state to the federal level. The Programmer/Analyst must be a "self-starter" in the identification and generation of any additional metrics needed for improved institutional assessment; and, must also be able to develop creative formats for presenting these institutional data in both an accurate and timely manner. She/He is responsible for queries; collecting and cleaning data; analyzing results and identifying significant trends; and interpreting the data outcomes for interested, non-technical users. She/He serves on both the campus' SACSCOC and GRAD Act Committees and other institutional committees as assigned.

The position requires extensive experience in process evaluation and design, system integration, data analysis, reporting, and implementation of web services including traditional - interactive - and mobile applications.  A bachelor's degree along with extensive experience in Institution research(IR) is sought for this position.

Programming responsibilities in various languages include:  HTML, PERL, C++, ASP, SQL, php, Javascript. experience preferred in the following:  Jenzabar CX(LSU Eunice's ERP system), Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution(myLSUE), Cognos Upfront reporting, FireFly Digital Gadget content management system, SchoolsApp social media by Inigral(GetConnected Facebook application),  Moodle learning management software(mycourses).
