Technical Support Analyst

The LSU Eunice Office of Information Technology has been recognized at the state, national, and international levels for its innovative use of technology resources. We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Technical Support Analyst. The Technical Support Analyst will provide general user and technical support in the areas of lab and classroom technologies as well as general help desk duties.

Primary duties will be spread across the following areas:

Assist in the preparation and installation of academic technology resources including  computers, printers, projectors, network components, wiring, etc. Assist in the maintenance and trouble shooting of lab and classroom technology. Respond to user reports of trouble or malfunctions. Perform Help Desk duties including recording service calls, maintenance activities, user support, equipment inventory, trouble reports, and calls to vendors.

Specific skill requirements include: Thorough knowledge of Windows desktop implementation and management in a highly complex networked environment, basic networking skills, the ability to trouble-shoot hardware and software issues, and the ability to work well with both faculty and students.  A technical certificate in related area with some hands-on experience is required. An associate degree in a related area is preferred.
