Campus Health Clinic Offers Flu Shots

Update: The Health Clinic will be offering flu shots to students October 5 and 6 between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.  Supplies are limited.

The Louisiana State University Eunice administration held ribbon cutting ceremonies to open the campus' health clinic.

The clinic offers basic health services to LSU Eunice students twice a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. or by special appointment.

Free basic health care for minor health-related problems are available to enrolled students. Colds, flus, upper respiratory infections, headaches, sore throats, sprains, cuts, minor burns are some of the problems that the clinic will treat.

The clinic will also issue flu shots this October for students.

When available, prescription medication samples will be supplied free of charge.

The clinic is staffed by LSU Eunice's associate professor of nursing and family nurse practitioner, Debra Vidrine, RN, and is funded in part by the LSUE Foundation's Lafayette General Nursing 1 Endowed Professorship. Dr. Brian Heinen serves as the clinic's collaborative physician and medical director.
