WWII Era Nurses to Speak

Nursing Veterans of World War II will speak Wednesday, April 17 at noon in the Health Technology Building Auditorium. Three veterans from World War II and four other retired military nurses who served during the Vietnam War era will be on hand.

The ladies will share their stories of serving as a nurse during the war eras. On hand will be Irma Darphin, U.S. Army Nurse Corps in World War II; Geneva Richard Johnson, U.S. Army Medical Services during World War II; and Lillie Clark, U.S. Army WAC during World War II. Joining the World War II veterans will be Anna Sanders, U.S. Air Force; Romona Hudson, U.S. Navy; Mary Fish, U.S. Army; and Dot Pocklington, the first female U.S. Army Brigadier General.

The event is free and open to the public.
