LSU Eunice, Northwestern Team Up with Business Degree
Northwestern State University and LSU Eunice have signed a memorandum of understanding. The agreement commits the two institutions to work together to assist LSU Eunice students who would like to earn a bachelor's degree in business administration at Northwestern State.
According to NSU President Dr. Randall Webb and LSU Eunice Chancellor William J. Nunez III, the 2 plus 2 agreement is designed to improve the transfer and advising process for students.
"We are pleased to be able to develop this agreement with LSU Eunice and look forward to working with them closer in the future," said Webb. "LSU Eunice is a student- oriented institution like Northwestern State. We know LSU Eunice students interested in a degree in business administration will find an outstanding program at Northwestern State with a faculty dedicated to student success."
Northwestern State and LSU Eunice have existing 2 plus 2 agreements for criminal justice and radiologic technology.
"LSU Eunice is both pleased and excited about its recent establishment of a 2 plus 2 agreement for the completion of a bachelors' degree in business administration with Northwestern State University," said Nunez. "With this 2 plus 2 program agreement, upon completion of their Applied Science Associate Degree at LSU Eunice in management, students will not only have the opportunity to complete an accredited bachelor's degree program in business administration from NSU, but they will also be able to complete the remaining two years of this degree on-line, without having to leave their homes to do so."
Under the agreement, Northwestern State will provide consultation to LSU Eunice regarding required content for the 2 plus 2 curriculum and receive and maintain Intent to Transfer forms from LSU Eunice students and honor the agreement regarding the academic catalog in effect on the student's date of signature and the Northwestern State confirmation signature. Northwestern State will accept credit hours from LSU Eunice as listed in the agreement and provide information about the agreement in the university catalog. The two institutions will work together to market the agreement.
Northwestern State's School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
