Performing Art Series Oct. 13

Pianist David Howarth will perform on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the LSU Eunice Health Tech Building as the first performance of the LSUE Performing Arts Series. Tickets are free to all students with an I.D. and $4 for general admission.

Howarth performs unique arrangements of the world's favorite classical, jazz, movie and popular music. He has performed his piano shows all over the world and has extensive teaching experience that has inspired students with his knowledge of piano technique and piano performance.

Originally from England and now based in Dallas, Texas, he was trained at the Royal College Of Music in England. Since graduating, he has created his unique entertaining piano style.

His piano shows have received top ratings on all the major cruise lines in the world including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, NCL, Holland America and others.

He has composed, produced and arranged music for some of the world's finest musicians and singers. His unique style of music can be heard on radio stations all over the world.

His piano composition, "I Thank God," was recently recorded by 8-year-old, YouTube gospel singing sensation Rhema Marvanne on her album Believe which David arranged and produced. The song currently has over 1 million hits on YouTube.
