New Student Orientation: The LSUE-Xperience

Welcome to LSU Eunice. Starting college is exciting and brings with it many changes and challenges. New student orientation, better known as the LSUE-Xperience, is designed to help make your transition as easy as possible. New student orientation is mandatory for all students attending LSU Eunice for the first time.

By attending orientation students will:

  • Feel more comfortable with the campus and the idea of college.
  • Meet LSU Eunice faculty and staff as well as other new students.
  • Receive instruction on important processes including advising, registration, fee payment, financial aid, available support services, and more.
  • Complete the advising and registration process.

*Math Placement Guidelines:

  • If you have a 18 or below on your MATH ACT or do not have ACT scores, your initial placement is Math0001. To start in Math0002 or higher, you must take the Math Placement Test and place into Math0002 or college algebra.
  • If you have a 19 or above on your Math ACT, your initial placement is college algrebra.
  • If you have a 23 or above on your Math ACT, your initial placement is college algrebra or college algrebra/trigonometry.
  • If you have a 25 or above on your Math ACT, your initial placement is trigonometry and credit may be posted for college algrebra.
  • If you have a 27 or above on your Math ACT, your initial placement is calculus I and credit may be posted for college algrebra. You may post credit for trigonmetry after completion of calculus II with a C or better.

To be utilized for placement, ACT scores must be less than five years old. Subscores from different ACT test dates may be utilized for placement into the appropriate math, english, and/or science courses provided that the test dates for subscores to be utilized for such a purpose are within a two year span.

Register for an Orientation Session:

To register for an orientation session you must have already applied for admission and been accepted to the university. Students may register for orientation in one of two ways:

  • Online Registration: Students must have their LSU Eunice Student ID and password to register. These were provided to you by the LSUE Admissions Office. Click on an Orientation Date below. Click on "Continue to Registration link on the Orientation Details page"
  • Contact the Office of Admissions at 337-550-1329 to register by phone.

Pay your Orientation Fee:

Upon completion of your orientation registration you must pay your $30 non-refundable orientation fee. Students can pay online by clicking the link provided on the Successfully Completed Orientation Registration screen, mail a check or money order to Business Affairs P.O. Box 1129, Eunice, LA 70535, or pay in person with cash, check, or money order by visiting their office located on the first floor of the Science Building Room 115.
